With the kids school schedules, our getaways are usually in the summer months. Its likely that well just spend the en tire day at the pool. The New York and Chicago contingents enjoy soaking up the sunshine and the kids will spend hours jumping in and out of the pool until their little hands look like shriveled up prunes. My husband always finds time for a workout when were traveling and even the grandkids will join him if they get the chance. My family isnt new to the island as it was an annual destination for us when my children were teens. When you fail a great deal, you learn very quickly.If youre not embarrassed by who you were last year, you didnt learn much.But most people arent embarrassed by who they were last year.Why?Because they arent pursuing big dreams.Instead, they are living highly predictable lives that reflect their past, not their future.When you are actively and aggressively pursuing BIG DREAMS, you will learn a HUGE AMOUNT.Youll ride high-highs and low-lows. And youll be fine with the emotional journey because you know that as you embrace difficult emotions, you are literally rewiring your brain circuitry.When you rewire your brain circuitry, you change yourself. You change your memories.
